The observer is observed

It is a time to rejoice

When your heart is set free

Releasing traps of the past

You attain tranquility

Nothing lost, all is found

The invitation’s arrived

Let the exploration begin

Into the unknown you have dived

Becoming of service to self

Without fear you now walk

No longer doubting the path

No longer too scared to talk

Clearly hearing your truth

Now aware of free will

The observer is observed

The chapter’s all yours to fill

A meal fit for a Queen

I open the door, delve in deep with my head

In search of inspiration, for two slices bread

My hunger is huge, I’ve a vast rumbling hole

A ravenous emptiness, an insatiable soul

Multiple flavours, to contrast, not compete

From the contents I find, it’s a difficult feat

I need something smooth, so I go for sweet chilli

With a generous spoonful, of fresh piccalilli

A layer of cheese, something French and quite smelly

Mixed with several strands, of last night’s tagliatelle

Chopped coriander, with diced gherkins to boot

Now all that is missing, is a semblance of fruit

I thinly slice strawberries, with several black grapes

Three lettuce leaves ensuring, that nothing escapes

A beauty to behold, a meal fit for a Queen

The act of consumption, best described as obscene

A to Z (Part Nine)

Articulated beings can distort everything. Formulating gibberish. Hiding in jargon. Keyboards lie; manipulating nuances, obscuring parables quintessentially. Recombining stories, tellings unbelievable. Vanity wanton. X-factor yanked zealously.

The Intuitive Mind

The intuitive mind floats adrift from our thoughts

Yet in harmony with its coastal tide

At one with the unfolding, natural course

The point where your truth, it cannot hide

The intuitive mind cannot be coerced

Nor reached through intelligence alone

Impressions are formed, they light up the dark

In oneness, you need never atone

The intuitive mind has no motive in life

No outcome it seeks to reveal

It flows with the cycles and rhythm of time

To bring forth, what you cannot conceal

The intuitive mind has compassion and love

Stands evolved, with humility in place

Understands we’re all human, expanding within

Contentment reached, with dignified grace

The uncarved block

The block stands solid

Wholeness providing perfect form

Uncarved; the chisel lies superfluous

To mind-made indentations

Limited by their own thought

Stunted by material creation

Kept alive by fear and uncertainty

By thinking too much…

Inspired living, within reach

Within all of us

Hidden within soulful sight

Wholeness, perfectly formed

In the still, uncarved block

And with that you went…

There’s no more to say

Vocabulary’s all spent

I had pledged my heart

I’d pledged every cent

In the depths of the promise

I drowned in intent

Believed you regretted

Could say what you meant

Sincerest, regards

And with that you went

Slamming the door in your wake

Not an ounce of lament
